The Cylinder Archive [www.cylinder.de] intermediate archival release: Riccardo Martin is singing Ah si ben mio from Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi, recorded in 1909 on Edison Amberol Grand Opera series #B161. While this acoustic recording itself has a frequency range up to approx. 4 KHz, the harmonic content goes well beyond 6 KHz and is essential for a psycho-acoustic recognition of certain clarity.

Columbia Gold Moulded cylinder record, recorded in Germany ca. 1904-06 by Franz Porten. In einem kühlen Grunde (In a cool ground) is a well known German traditional, sometimes also issued as "Das zerbrochene Ringlein" (The broken [little] ring). The Announcement says: "In einem kühlen Grunde, gesungen von dem Opernsänger Franz Porten. Original Columbia-Walze." From: Columbia Hartguss Record #50264
